Pet of the Week: Lagunitas

Abandoned! It's a tough word to hear especially when it applies to domesticated animals like cats or dogs.

These are the animals that were meant to be our friends, our allies, our emotional support besties and their owners literally walked away from them. Their stories are heartbreaking to hear, to say the least, but through the efforts of some very kind and nurturing people, many of these animals are able to find new forever homes.

And that's what we hope for Lagunitas, a female, spayed, brown and white Domestic Shorthair who might be around 8-years-old. Her beautiful green eyes practically glow with the need to get petted. She was abandoned by her owners, but luckily time has put a lot of her past behind her.

She is a vibrant little cat whose soul smiles whenever she sees someone because she knows that person will give her some pets and maybe a tummy rub.

She enjoys playing with toys, especially if she can be the center of attention in your world. Having another cat in the mix will just take away from her getting all of the attention because at the end of the day, it is all about Lagunitas!

Lagunitas loves to show off with her playful antics. It's her way to get her people involved in her life. Since she is such a good entertainer she will keep you on your toes as she chases her toys down the hallway or plays hide and seek among the bookshelves.

Just know that when Lagunitas is in the house, your life will never be the same again!

“The only mystery about the cat is why it ever decided to become a domestic animal." – Sir Compton Mackenzie, Scottish writer of fiction, biography & histories
