New Kane County Animal Control Rabies Tag Fees Effective January 1, 2024

As of January 1, 2024, all Kane County Animal Control (KCAC) rabies tag fees will be increasing.  

The new 1-year-tag fees will increase by $3 for neutered animals, as well as animals less than 1-year of age. If an animal is non-neutered the tag fee goes up by $10

The new 3-year-tag fees will increase by $8 for neutered animals and $22.50 for non-neutered animals.  Seniors (individuals 65 years or older with proof of age) will continue to receive free tags. 

​KCAC has notified Kane County veterinarians of the fee increases so they can let their customers know well in advance.  Tags can be purchased through vet clinics and hospitals throughout Kane County or directly from Kane County Animal Control at 4060 Keslinger Rd, Geneva, IL 60134, Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday: 8:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and Saturday: 9:00 a.m.-Noon. 

Tags may be purchased in person or by mail.  We do ask that if you pay by mail to please follow up in about 2 weeks to ensure we received your check.
