Kane County Animal Control Pet of the Week - Absol

“Cats do not try to be funny; they just behave as themselves which are funny by birth!" – Mehmet Murat Ildan, Contemporary playwright, novelist & philosopher from Turkey

If you stare at Absol, a spayed, 1-1/2-year-old brown and white Domestic Shorthair long enough, you might swear her eyes are giving you an invitation to give her a pet or two.

Once she has captivated you, she does her best to wind you around her tiny little paw, to make herself as endearing as she possibly can.

Absol is not particularly extroverted. In fact, she's a bit shy when it comes to meeting new people. She stays to herself quite a bit, even if she's around other cats. She probably will thrive in a home where she is the only feline getting spoiled.

Absol came to KCAC as a stray. She got spayed and then went up for adoption. As happy as everyone was that she would finally get a fur-ever home, we realized she needed a few more days of rest to heal and build up her strength.

Absol is feeling so much better now. You might say, she's fit as a fiddle and, although she's not a cat that would know how to play the fiddle, she is ready to finally find that permanent fur-ever home.
