Kane County Animal Control Pet of the Week - Royal
“Everything I know I learned from my cat: When you're hungry, eat. When you're tired, nap in a sunbeam. When you go to the vet's, pee on your owner." – Gary Smith, producer, writer
She has an intense way of gazing at anyone who comes to see her with eyes wide, unblinking. “Are you here for me?" she seems to ask.

Like so many who wind up in a shelter, she came in as a stray, no owner, no microchip, no one to contact, no one to let know she is here, no one to take her home.
Surprisingly, she is friendly, although a bit shy. We named her Royal because her mere demeanor seems regal and stately. Her black and white short fur gives her a lean and sleek look, as though she made an honest attempt to dress up for a night out.
She is only about 1-year-old—just barely past kitten stage. She's too young to not have a home and too sweet not to have anyone to cuddle with her whenever she wants.
Royal will need a slow introduction to any potential brother or sister felines in her new family. And, as she does with everything else, she will need time to figure out her role within this new environment.
Once a friendship is formed with her new family members, the bond between them will become unbreakable, unshakeable and for a lifetime.
