Kane County Animal Control Pet of the Week - Rubbery Ducky

“The cat's natural charisma ensures that everyone will notice them." – Stephane Garnier, author, How to Live Like Your Cat

When you first meet Rubber Ducky, the 1-year-old spayed brown and black striped tortie feline at KCAC, you'll notice what a wiggle worm she is as she attempts to keep your attention on her.

As she bobs this way and that way, eventually she will get into position so she can jump into your arms. You begin to understand that this cat deserves your undivided attention. She demands it, even insists on it.

Nothing about her is passive. Pick her up and pet her. Place her on your lap and she will crawl all over you, even climbing up toward your face so she can give you a proper head-butt. Let her climb up onto your shoulders and now she's along for the ride wherever you want to take her as she cuddles your neck.    Rubber Ducky1.jpg

Other cats may find her friendly, even overly outgoing toward them. She doesn't care as long as she's front and center, soaking up as much attention as possible.

Her markings are very unusual. Black stripes then smaller lines down the legs against a cream background make Rubber Ducky an unusual masterpiece. Pet her within the lines or outside of them, Rubber Ducky doesn't judge.

She just wants to get as much loving as she can!
