Kane County Judge Clint Hull Lauded for Exceptional Leadership

Kane County Chief Judge Clint Hull was lauded with a standing ovation by the Kane County Board for service to the people of  Kane County. In his position of Chief Judge, Hull lead the judiciary through the pandemic and the enactment of the SAFE-T Act. His endless community volunteering also reaches far beyond the bench.  His term as Chief Judge ends in December. 

Proclamation Recognizing

The Honorable Judge Thomas Clinton Hull III​

 

Whereas, in the year 1993, Thomas Clinton (“Clint") Hull III was licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois by the Illinois Supreme Court; and

Whereas, as an attorney, Clint Hull dedicated his career to public service, as a prosecuting Assistant State's Attorney in the Kane County State's Attorney's Office, eventually rising to the rank of Chief of the Criminal Division; and

Whereas, Clint Hull was appointed Associate Judge by the Circuit Court Judges of the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit in March 2009; and

Whereas, in September 2016, Judge Hull was subsequently appointed to the position of Circuit Court Judge of the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit by the Illinois Supreme Court; and

Whereas, Judge Hull was duly elected to the position of Circuit Judge by the electorate of Kane County, Illinois in December of 2018; and

Whereas, during his judicial career, Judge Hull has served in traffic, misdemeanor, family law, and felony courtrooms, and was appointed the Presiding Judge of the Juvenile Division of the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit; and

Whereas, the Honorable Judge Clint Hull was selected by his fellow Circuit Court Judges to serve as Chief Judge of the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit, Kane County, Illinois effective December 1, 2019; and

Whereas, since assuming the duties of the Office of Chief Judge, Judge Hull admirably guided the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit through enormous and unprecedented challenges, including the Covid-19 Pandemic and the implementation of the Illinois Safe-T Act that dramatically reformed the criminal justice system, which included the elimination of cash bail and Judge Hull also initiated the process of creating the first Strategic Plan for the 16th Judicial Circuit Court; and

Whereas, Judge Hull's term as Chief Judge of the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit expires November 30, 2023; and

Whereas, Judge Hull's significant contributions to the people of the County of Kane have earned the recognition and acclaim of his peers, the Kane County Board, and the public in general.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Board of the County of Kane, that the Honorable Judge Thomas Clinton Hull III, is hereby recognized for his many years of dedicated and outstanding public service to the people of Kane County, and that the Kane County Board bestows its sincere thanks and appreciation for his wise counsel and; skillful, dedicated, and outstanding work, during his public service and notably, for his contributions to the people of Kane County as Chief Judge for the Sixteenth Judicial Circuit.​
