It's easy to fall under the spell of KCAC's little white 2-year-old miniature poodle-schnauzer-mix named Sparky because he's so absolutely handsome, cute and adorable all at the same time!

Owner-surrendered due to issues beyond his control, Sparky enjoys spending as much time with staff members as he can getting his daily dose of pets and cuddles. Chew toys don't interest him at all, but he's definitely not shy about letting everyone know his vocal opinion on just about everything!

His energy level might be considered a bit over the top. He doesn't even know the meaning of relaxing, but he exudes so much joy and happiness with everything he does that it's hard to find fault.

Put a leash on him and his initial reaction is to jump and pull like a bucking bronco. More than likely, he was never trained, or, if he was, it was only in stops and starts. Getting him to feel comfortable on a leash on a walk will take some time, but it will be well worth the effort. It's also a good way to get him tired out!

Sparky hasn't met a man, woman or small dog he doesn't like. Suffice it to say that with training and hands-on daily positive support from his new family, anything will be possible for this little guy.

And that's no illusion, it's a fact!

KCAC Pupdate

Congratulations to Louie, the 12-pound, Yorkie-mix with two different colored eyes that initially came to KCAC as a stray.

Louie's new family was so excited to meet him and to bring him home. He was just as excited to meet them and more importantly, ready for his freedom walk out the door of KCAC and into an awaiting chariot.

We look forward to hearing all about his family adventures as he continues to write the daily chapters of his life, finally, a stray no more.
