Kane County is among 23 northern Illinois government agencies selected to receive a 2025 Powering Safe Communities grant from ComEd and the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus. The county will use the funding to purchase a solar-powered warning sign that alerts drivers and pedestrians when flooding occurs, combining sustainability and public safety.
