Kane County Pet of the Week - Biscuit and Gravy

“If I had a dollar for every time my cat made me smile, I would be the world's richest person by now." – Ernest Hemingway, American journalist, novelist and short story writer
They were owner-surrendered together because he had just gotten his orders from the military. Sadly, he couldn't take the two girls with him and, unfortunately, there was no one else who could step up to bring the two kittens into their home.
Two feline sisters bonded together for good times and bad, looking to each other for support and comfort. Both girls are torties, both are 6-months-old and both are almost mirror images of each other when it comes to their playful antics and energy levels.
Their names are Biscuit and Gravy, which is kind of clever. It's one of those short descriptive phrases that, right off the bat, tells everyone that these two girls are much better together than apart. Because they were raised together, their personalities are similar and they really seem to enjoy each other's company.
However, two kittens are not always an easy addition to bring into someone's home. In that case, these young ladies can also go to their forever home independently of the other one. It might be difficult to separate them at first, but they will survive and grow as long as they can get lots of hugs, pets and have the knowledge of just how special they are to their new family.
Biscuit and Gravy are extremely social cats. Gravy, just like her sister, enjoys cuddling, sitting on laps and playing with toys. Their former owner kept them well cared for and must have shown them a lot of love.
When someone comes into the cat room, they run towards them so they can be first to sit on their lap, first to introduce themselves and first to get those much-desired pets.
Without a doubt, Biscuits and Gravy will add their own special uniqueness to any family willing to adopt them, either as a duo or individually.
