Kane County Animal Control Pet of the Week - Azule
“He is so very happy to be alive that he feels he simply must wag his joyful little tail…so that all people may know of his complete contentment." – W. Dayton Wegefarth, Short story writer, “The True Story of Bum (1915)," poet, greeting card writer, lyricist
She relies on her mouth to figure out her world.
What she can't tear, rip or destroy, she will grab in order to get attention or get pets.

Her name is Azule. Before arriving at KCAC, she was living as a stray in a forest preserve.
She is now a 2-year-old black and white Siberian Husky-mix with energy and enough intelligence to attempt to out-smart even the smartest of owners.
No AI here. Her fun-loving, high-spirited and determined attitude is all real. She enjoys toy stuffies, but only the soft kind. Getting them out of her mouth becomes a different story as it suddenly turns into a game of tug-of-war.
Her eyes are captivatingly blue, like a cool mountain stream or the pale morning sky of a memory. A person could get lost in those eyes if she would ever stand still long enough to allow them.
Her energy level is rarely below 100 percent, especially when she meets new dogs. On the promise of an introduction to a smaller dog, she can hardly contain herself. She's definitely getting better with those types of meet-and-greets, but she will continue to need appropriate training and socialization with other canines.
If we were to click our heels three times and wish for a family that could work with Azule in order to give her the best rest of her life as possible, our wish list would include a home with an experienced husky family that will keep her energy directed in a positive way. It would also be ideal if they have the time and willingness to tire her out with training and give her lots of fun exercise like walks during the day.
Above all else, of course, the absolute perfect adoptive family for Azule will definitely be the ones that will love her and care for her all of her life.
