Kane County Animal Control Pet of the Week - Meet Biggie Smalls

“No cat purrs unless someone is around to listen." – Elizabeth Marshall Thomas, American author of fiction & non-fiction, Hidden Life of Dogs

Biggie, Biggie, Biggie, can't you see? Sometimes your words just hypnotize me."

(Album: Life After Death, Song: Hypnotize, Artist: The Notorious B.I.G.)

His name is Biggie Smalls, named after the late, great The Notorious B.I.G.

He's a 1-year-old neutered male, brown tabby and white Domestic Shorthair. In a way, his name is fitting because, like his namesake, he's a “cat" like no other.

But, wait! KCAC's Biggie isn't a rapper! He's just a boy cat that likes to give his own opinion on everything!

Walk into the room with him and he'll run up to you meowing all the way. Sit down to play with him and he will keep a running 'meow' monologue going as he chases toys across the floor.

Warning! Careful you don't accidentally kick him out of the way, though, because once he knows you're there to see him, he becomes your permanent shadow.   BiggieSmalls1.jpeg

Similar to a dog in an agility competition, Biggie weaves in and out between your legs as he follows you all over the room. Oh, not going that direction? Then, he will change with you when you shift course, getting under your feet the entire time, all the while looking up at you for your approval as he continues to carry on his 1-sided conversation.

There is no doubt that Biggie is talkative, but he's also one of the most handsome felines in the room. His coat is fluffy while giving off sleek vibes at the same time. As far as getting along with other cats, he likes the company of most male cats in the room, but does seem a bit hesitant with female felines.

Hey, there, Biggie!

Sometimes your words just hypnotize me/And I just love your flashy ways (uh-huh)!
