Ken Shepro Appointed Kane County Local Historian

The Kane County Board has appointed Ken Shepro as the county’s first Local Historian. Established under Resolution No. 25-351 and the Local Historian Act, the position is an honorary volunteer role responsible for researching, preserving, and interpreting Kane County’s history.

Shepro will collect and maintain historic records, artifacts, and documents, and help produce accurate historical materials for the benefit of current and future generations. The appointment formalizes the office while minimizing financial impact on the County.
